Two Vincent Chevilliard (1841-1904) paintings highlight the Fine Art section of  Unique Auctions Sunday 25th August sale. The two paintings typify Chevilliards work featuring humorous genre scenes featuring priests. The first painting features a Priest Washing a Dog (23cm W, 31cm H), and the second depicts and Priest Doing Needlepoint (18cm W, 23cm H). Chevilliard’s attention to detail is excellent and the humorous nature of his works has attracted many collectors.
The sale also includes 6 works by Mary Ann Lord, works by David Cox and Wilson Hepple.
