This remarkable collection not only includes many rare titles, but it’s the pristine condition of the records that makes it even more desirable.
Mr. Wilkins, a former designer of Hi-Fi and electronic equipment for Sony, Polygram, Leak, and NAD, was known for his commitment to quality and attention to detail.
He used a new SME Arm Stylus for each record played, ensuring that the records remained in pristine condition.
The collection includes many promotional records and items received through his work, adding even more value to the collection.
Some of the rare titles in the collection include Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart, The Velvet Underground and Nico, and Frank Zappa Mothers and Hot Rats. These records are highly coveted by collectors and are sure to generate significant interest.
In addition to the Collection of Stephen Wilkins, the auction will feature the largest collection of Hank Williams items to be sold outside of the USA and a larger collection of Buddy Holly items.
