Unique Auctions Toys, Trains and Die-cast auction on the 23rd includes a 5″ gauge steam engine model of a Crampton Type engine. The original Crampton Type engine was built by Tulk and Ley in 1853 to the design of John Russell Crampton for the Maryport to Carlisle Railway.
Other engines include: a 3 1/2″ gauge (gauge 1) model live steam locomotive of an 0-4-0 tank engine (without water tanks) and a compressed air model traction engine ‘Royal Chester’ (approximately 1/2″ scale).
